Set in the shadows of Edinburgh Castle, Agua Restaurant and Bar in the Apex City Hotel is a seafood restaurant complete with a chic Crustacea bar. One of few in Edinburgh, the new Crustacea Bar will see diners enjoying fresh, quality seafood in the cool, stylish interiors Apex Hotels are well known for.

Already armed with one AA Rosette, Agua’s new approach will see bring a seafood inspired menu to the Grassmarket Restaurant and Bar.

During dinner, diners can order Crustacea dishes from the menu or select their own mix of oysters, north Atlantic shell-on prawns, pickled mussels, cockles and pickled herrings or choose from the Á La Carte or Fixed Price menu with 3 courses priced at only £19.95.

Oysters come ‘au natural’ for purists with 6 for £9.50 or individually at £1.75. The sharing platter for two (or as main course for one) includes a tower of best catch seafood typically including Oban oysters, clams, mussels, prawns and dressed crab.

The all day bar menu will satisfy the need for snacks or something more substantial offering everything from calamari to the smoked salmon club sandwich.

A wide selection of champagne and wines will offer a choice of the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Monthly specials will provide the very best selection of catches while non-seafood options will ensure that Agua appeals to all.
