After a slow start where we were not initially offerd a drink or a wine list, the evening turned out excellent with great food from start to finish and a friendly owner.
Certainly worth a visit back.

Always friendly and surprisingly imaginative for its locale. Good value, decent variety of menu, and we're lucky to have it in our area.

Took some business colleagues for lunch and really enjoyed it - tasty food, good size portions, efficient service.

We were here one night when the chef came out of the kitchen and shouted at a customer who was unhappy and thought his bill should be reduced, although I saw the chef's point this was NOT PROFESIONAL. As they say, the customer's always right. NOT IN AL BORGO - arrogant staff and uncomfortable experience. Knock a few pounds off the bill and ask them politely not to come back! Food was lovely though - what a shame.

Very very good, meal was excellent, service was top class. Made to feel very welcome. Definitely recommend and most definitely visit again.

Nice local independent Italian. Very friendly service and interesting wine list. Food always good sometimes excellent - homely rather than complicated and generously served. Only gripe is the noise level gets pretty high so may not be the place for a quite romantic dinner or to take your hard-of-hearing mother! We'll be back however.
