I went here for lunch last Friday, for a quick meal as it was just in a work lunch hour. It is usually difficult to get a table, mainly due to its location as I have never been in when it hasnt been busy.
Luckily we managed to get one of the bench tables. Their menu has changed a bit and I think with this the prices have gone up. Their tapas menu seems a lot more expensive then it used to be - I am sure you used to get 2/3 dished for £9 but it is now more like £12-15 if I remember correctly. We both ended up going for the burger with caramalised red onions and brie. The burger was very good - was pleasantly surprised and so was the person I was eating with. The only thing I would criticise would be that the chips were slightly cold, from where we were sitting I could see our burgers on the 'pass' for a good 3-5 minutes so no doubt this is where they got cold. The place was busy but still if the food is ready to go out they should be getting it out straight away.
For 2 pints of diet coke and 2 burgers we were roughly about £13 each which wasnt too bad. It does a job all bar one, its handy, a good sized bar and good for drinks but I think there are better places to go nearby if you are looking for something more.

Met my parents here for lunch on Saturday. It was really busy and we were lucky to get a table.
We didn't want much to eat and figured that their offer of 5 "Best with beer" tapas dishes for £18 would be enough. There was loads of food - enough for a light lunch for at least 4, maybe 5 people. It was basic tasty food - chicken wings, potato wedges, nachos etc and good value for the amount of food we got. Service was fine - friendly but hurried - the staff were run off their feet.
Not the most relaxing dining experience by any stretch, but served our purposes well that day.

Good selection of wines and beers but the central location makes this a very popular pub and as a result it can be hard to get a seat or get served quickly. Check the small rooms to the side of the door as you enter - good for a bit of privacy if you're in a small party.
