I am not a veggie, but I love this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and the food is exceptional. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, this place is worth visiting.

Really great food and C Scott is right - the atmosphere is great and you feel like part of the family. The menu is brilliant and the mixed platters are gorgeous. And the homemade mango ice-cream... mmmnnn :)

I was extremely disappointed after having seen the good reviews above. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the disorganized and tacky decor. We were also asked for reservations even though there was nobody in the restaurant. After taking our seats, the staff was pushy to the point of rudeness. The food arrived far too quickly to have been made to order, and although decent, was nothing I couldn't have prepared in my own student kitchen. It was definitely overpriced for what it offered, and definitely will not be returning.

Upon welcome we were greeted with excellent manor and real sense of belonging. Very friendly staff homely atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. Out of my 2 week stay in Edinburgh one fond memory I will take back to France is the true taste of Indian food. My children were made to feel welcome and our whole family will definitely be back next year to dine.

Ann Purna has great food and after a few visits you feel like part of the family. Even though it is veggie, the menu is quite varied and long. Really friendly and nice relaxed atmosphere.
