A lovely little cafe. I had lunch here with a friend and although it is a bit noisy, this is due to the rumble of cars on the cobbles outside, rather than the clientèle. The menu is simple - two sides of A4 - but is full of just what you want from a place like this.
I ordered an 8oz Roquefort burger with bacon, "no messing about there, that's a man's burger!" came the swift response from the very friendly waitress. It arrived after just the right amount of time, along with a tray of sauces - five different relishes, plus honey mustard dressing, ketchup and mayonnaise! The burger was big and the chips were perfectly cooked; crunchy, but not overly so.
With the meal we both had milkshakes. They serve the full gamut here - chocolate, strawberry, vanilla etc... - I had fresh banana and it was exceedingly good. I just kept sipping at it, trying to make it last for longer, but it was so tasty it was all gone in about three minutes.
Would I recommend this place? Definitely, it is just right for a weekend afternoon meal with friends. It is quite small though and whilst I didn't struggle for a table, I think that if you turn up at lunchtime you may be struggling.

A fantastic little Stockbridge institution. Simple menus- Great burgers, steaks and omlettes. Choose one of 3 sizes of burgers and half a dozen or so toppings, service is quick and the burgers are always tasty. Pancakes for desert are fantastic, and with their size it doesn't really matter than starter options are a little sparse as 2 courses is more than ample. Service is great despite only ever having one waitress on the floor. Would score higher but it is never nice to see idiots on other tables dipping their fingers and licked spoons into the communal sauce tray before it comes to your own table.

Went for dinner here the other night and what a find it was. Great staff, amazing burgers and lovely relaxed vibe to the place. Would recommend to anyone who was a big burger fan and looking for somewhere new to try.

I went here for dinner during the week, managed to get a table no problems at half 8 just walking in. Bell's is a small place but this makes for a cosy atmosphere. The menu is simple, I had a burger, my bro had a steak. Both were fine but not exceptional. The large helpings meant that we didn't get on to the deserts but they looked good judging by other people's orders. Would have given 3 for this place if it was not for the friendly waitress and cool tunes.
