Just went to the place for a burger: chips where undercooked (to my taste), the meat with dry and the extra cheese was really really poor. That is all I had. Not impressed for £7!

This place is such great value for money. I went in for an early tea on Sunday with some friends and the food was tops and reasonably priced. The staff can sometimes be hit and miss with their enthusiasm, but there is one Aussie bloke who is always on form. For informal eating with a price to match I say try this one!

This is actually a very good bar to go for a drink and I always enjoy the atmosphere there especially in winter where they have a nice open fire in the back area. Sports screens too if you care for it. Elegantly furnished throughout with some nice touches. However the food is substandard to say the least. I have eaten here with company a couple of times, each visit hoping for an improvement. It never comes.

Frozen fish (advertised as fresh), dire awful macaroni, Mince and tatties with dumplings (the size of a human head) that could be cut into only with the aid of a blowtorch. Tragically poor all in all. Such a shame as the bar itself is so good.

We go to this place quite often for lunch during the working week.

Very nice food and they are very accommodating for my food allergies, make no fuss when I ask for things without x,y,z.

Can get really busy in the evenings for drinks, but the staff are always really nice.

Good prices too.

Used to eat here very regularly, mainly due to watching sport for hours on end and having to eat at some point. However always found the food to be decent especially the burgers. Let down by terrible service. Manager thinks he is the big man and doesn't seem to realise the pub is good in spite of him not because. Other staff aren't much better and you get zero banter (in fact I would go as far as to say minus banter). Smiling doesn't seem to be part of their mandate either. Oh and it's pretty slow at times. Shame really.
