A fairly nice restaurant with pretty good food. It does not specifically serve one type of food brilliantly, but it does serve all food fairly well. However, the bar is a bit pretentious, but then if you're going out after work in your suit, then it'll probably suit you to a tee.

Woudn't have called this spot pretentious but then that could just be a measure of me than the bar. Lots of studenty types at various times. They used to do a beat the clock thing (the earlier you are the cheaper it is) for a cheap menu last year - they may still do it. Decent grub nice beers, good music in the bar section. Like it.

Fine selection of (slightly pricey) Belgian beers. They are arguably worth it though for the taste and alcohol content. Certainly better than a warm pint of Miller that you get elsewhere. Nice comfy sofas for relaxing too. Has a good vibe, even on week nights since it is often frequented by the Newington student crowd.

This was my favorite resturant in Britain by far. They food was always amazing, the pear cider awesome, and the couches were wonderful.
I was studying in Scotland from America and my classmates and I would try to come as often as we could while we were there.
