We use organic flour in our bread.

A delicate butter shortcrust tartlet filled with mascarpone, crème fraiche, caramelised onion, Golden Cross goats cheese and slow dried tomato with basil and garlic.- £5.50
Broccoli with poached egg and watercress soup
Steamed broccoli with creamed watercress soup and a poached organic free range egg.- £5.50
Thai fritters
Aromatic, spicy fritters of smoked tofu, peas, ginger, green chilli, lime, sesame and potato. Served with fresh mango chutney and a roast garlic tomato sauce. V- £4.90
Ravioli of roasted squash with homemade curd.
Our own homemade egg pasta parcels with roasted butternut squash with basil, pine nut and parmesan. Served with homemade organic curd cheese and herb oil.- £5.50
Grilled vegetable and potato salad for two to share
Warm grilled aubergine, courgette and red pepper served with baby potato, olive, caper and sorrel salad. Dressed with balsamic and honey. (v)- £7.50
Tabouleh, mint and parsley salad with orange and walnut
Bulgar wheat with fresh mint and parsley, orange segments and celery with rocket salad. Served with a walnut vinaigrette. V- £5.50
Marinated vegetable and goats cheese salad.
A selection of vegetables lightly pickled in cider vinegar, juniper and mustard seed, served with baby leaf salad, warm Golden Cross goats cheese and red pesto dressing. (v)- £6.50

Main Meals
Galette of aduki and aubergine
Organic Scottish beer crepe layered with roasted aubergine and aduki bean spiced with smoked paprika, cumin, caraway, chilli and garlic (Harissa). With juniper pickled cucumber served with chunky chips, homemade apple and tomato ketchup, crème fraiche and chives. [V]- £8.50
Spiced udon noodles and home smoked tofu.
Tofu smoked with aromatic spices, fried and served on wheat noodles with pak choi, red pepper and a sauce of mirin (sweet rice wine) soy sauce, ginger, garlic, lime and sesame. Topped with cucumber and mizuna. V- £9.50
Dosa
Aromatic vegetable curry in a savoury rice pancake. Served with a fresh yoghurt raita salad with a sweet banana chutney. [V]- £8.50
Mushroom and tarragon crepe with warm radish and beetroot salad.
Delicate crepe made to order and filled with wild and cultivated mushrooms cooked with white wine, organic cream, garlic and tarragon. Served with warm radish and beetroot salad dressed with tomato pesto and balsamic.- £10.90
Risotto of beetroot, kale and blue cheese.
Carnaroli rice cooked to order in our own broth with leek, red wine, curly kale, beetroot, parmesan and fresh marjoram. Topped with Stilton cheese and red chard. (v)- £9.75
Crépe Provençal
Roasted aubergine, courgette, red onion, peppers, tomatoes, garlic and basil, with parmesan. Wrapped in a freshly made crêpe and served with baby potato, olive, caper and sorrel salad.- £8.90
Chilli and smoked cheese tortilla tartlet with chocolate sauce.
Kidney and lima beans with celeriac, carrots and peppers in a rich tomato sauce spiced with coriander, cumin, paprika and chilli. Served in a homemade flour tortilla tartlet, topped with Ardrahan smoked cheese and avocado guacamole. With sweet potato coriander leaf mash and chocolate chilli sauce with tequila. (v)- £11.90
Pistachio, roasted carrot and chick pea cake with coconut cauliflower.
Spiced with chilli, fenugreek, fennel and aromatic spices. Served with a carrot, ginger and fresh coriander sauce, plum chutney and a crisp mint yoghurt raita. (v)- £11.90
Tart of Jerusalem artichoke and creamed celeriac.
Jerusalem artichoke and celeriac cooked with white wine and cream baked in homemade puff pastry. Served with parsnip and carrot gratin and a Jerusalem artichoke sauce.
