Disagree completely. Eaten here during footie many times and while it's not entirely as cheap as you feel it should be it's not that bad. I've had several of the courses in here and the big yorkshire pudding, chili burger, nachos and other safe stuff have all been fine. I've even had good fish and chips in here.
Service is normally fine as well. Not fabulous, but certainly as good as the Golf for a footie meal. No free pies at half time.

Some tourist information boards profess that their weather attracts visitors and the people make them stay there - in the case of Frankensteins the football attracted me (liverpool were playing Barcelona) and the food almost made me leave. Serving a menu of 'fast food' does not preclude an establishment from providing good service and quality dishes - the Cambridge Bar in the New Town for instance achieves both of these, Frankenstein's however does not. Frozen food deep fried and thrown onto a plate delivered to your table and unceremoniously dumped in front of you. Not very good, but also not very cheap, one to avoid.

I have eaten breakfast here a few times. The breakfast is pretty generous and you get it on a cool metal plate thingy. It is reasonably expensive at £6.95 for the full Scottish but it comes with OJ and tea or coffee with free refills, this means it ends up as pretty good value. The breakfast came with a sausage (the low-point of the breakfast), 2 tattie scones, a bit of bacon, hash browns, baked beans, 2 eggs (cooked to your liking, I had them poached), black pudding, haggis, fried potato and tomatoes (these were pretty rubbishy and tasteless).
One thing to watch out for is when they ask if you would like toast. It costs an extra £1.50, our waitress didn't tell us this at the time. You don't need toast to fill you up unless you have a huge hunger on.

Nice cocktails, not crazy on the food. As stated before seems like a lot of heated up frozen food. Used to go regularly to eat but went down hill, feels like a weight in your stomach when you leave now. Go for the football, go for the drinks but avoid the food.

Having eaten at Frankensteins on many occasions I have yet to be dissapointed. With a reasonably priced menu and bar prices around the average price for a city centre bar Frankensteins may be a bit on the touristy side for some.
