Unfotunately my dining experience here did not match that of other reviewers. The food was tasty enough and the menu had a good assortment of dishes which I hadn't seen before (I am not someone who has a favourite curry and will have it wherever I go, I like to mix it up a bit - keeps it interesting although I do sometimes end up with things slightly hotter than I can handle). I went for Garlic Kharsani, which was very tasty although slightly hotter than I can handle (oops - it is described as "hot" on the menu).
A couple of my dining companions opted for the Mismas which they were very disappointed with. This is reflected a little in my rating, however, the main reason for the poor rating was that the the service was some of the worst I have ever experienced (although it was probably not as bad as Sportsters where the staff seem to be intent on purposefully ignoring customers). It took a full 2 hours for us to be served with our main courses. This is almost certainly related to the fact that I was dining in the "party room" in a group of around 20. You might say then that this was our fault but if a restaurant is going to accept bookings of that scale then they should only do so if they have the facilities to cope with them. Furthermore, it was not as though the main resatuarant was full - I would say it was at 30% of capacity max.

Excellent local restaurant.
Had a £4.99 2 course lunch.
Good, efficient and friendly service. We had vegetable and chicken pakoras for starter then Lamb in a sort of Nepalese Cashew sauce.
It was like a Curry and honestly this is the first time I tasted something so different, nice and interesting.
I'll try to find the name then I'll update the review but go there I highly recommend it!

A very welcoming place and great food, some say the waiters play pink floyd songs on traditional instruments though this did not happen when I went I must admit. In one word - HEARTY

I love the Ghurka Brigade. The food is wonderful, and being Nepalese rather than the more common Indian restaurants has lots of new stuff to try. And I think I've tried just about everything! I've never had a bad experience, either dining or take away. The staff are very polite and helpful -- they've even kept the restaurant open just for us so we could finish our meal, without even mentioning to us that closing time had been and gone!
It is one of the restaurants where while I have a few favourite dishes I always want to try something new, as every single meal I've had here has been superb. My only problem now is I've tried everything and I'm having to loop back around on the menu!
