Forth Floor Brasserie, Harvey Nichols, EH2 2AD, Edinburgh

I went here for lunch today with work for the first time, having only bene to the bar beforehand. The menu has a good range of meals on it with most starters being £5-7 with mains coming in around £10.

I decided to go for the roast coley wrapped in parma ham which came with spinach on a bed of crushed potatoes (£12). I have to say although the meal was nice - I would expect it to be exceptional coming from Harvey Nichols. The fish was slightly dry and I felt it had been cooked for a little bit too long as the parma ham had also dried out completely. The spinach was cooked to perfection however I felt the potatoes were again slighlty over cooked as they were a mix between mashed and crushed.

Overall I wasnt overly impressed. It is a nice location but I think that it does well purely for the fact people like saying they are going to Harvey Nichols for lunch rather than going somewhere with good food.
