I'm with Andy - it wasn't bad but when I was told we were going it was mentioned in hushed tones and it was mobbed for a Thursday night but it wasn't that fabulous. I'd go again but only if I wasn't going to Kushis cos I was going off curries.

Andy's review sums it up pretty succinctly. I've been several times (and to other branches of Howies) and always found it reliable, which is probably why it is usually pretty busy.
They often have special price offers (by vouchers from their website) for lunches and then they are excellent value. Even the regular prices aren't that bad by Edinburgh standards.
