Had a great meal here last night. Two courses for £23.50. After we left we decided that the starters were a bit disappointing, but in retrospect this is perhaps only because the mains were so good! The meat/fish in all our dishes was cooked to perfection and just tasted sooo good!
And the service was impeccable - could not be faulted at all.
Good wine selection. All French, of course. Seemed to be at least 3 of each colour for under £15 so there's plenty to choose from even when you're eating on a budget.

What a great restaurant! I can’t believe I haven’t discovered La Garrigue before!
I went here with my parents on Friday night and we had 2 courses for £25. The lamb shank is easily the best I have had, there was so much meat on the bone and the sauce it was cooked in was delicious. Mmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! To finish I had Crème Brulee infused with lavender which was to die for! My Dad had a chicken dish followed by a pear desert – both were good but the pear couldn’t compete with my crème brulee and my Mum chose the pork belly (again, delicious).
The service was extremely professional and one of the best I have received in any restaurant in Edinburgh – our waitress was efficient and friendly without being over the top.
With three mains, three puddings, coffees and wine our bill came to just short of £90 – a bargain for having received excellent food and impeccable service. I really want to give La Garrigue 5 stars as it is one of the best meals I have had in Edinburgh but I don’t believe anywhere is perfect. However, I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant with friendly and efficient service. I loved the wine list which is very skewed to South West France - try the Picpoul, it's excellent!
The pot au feu was a little bland and disappointing but this won't prevent me coming back for another go!
