Food is always great here but sometimes the service can be a little bit of a let down.
Lunch menus are great value but you can feel under pressure to eat and run.

I booked Mya for a family birthday party, booking a table for 6 at 7.00pm. I even phoned the night before to make doubly sure our booking was secure as two of our party were coming from the Borders and I didn't want to leave anything to chance with it being a Friday night on a rugby international weekend. When we arrived, on the dot at 7.00pm, however, they had given our table away. Why? Because, in spite of my repeating my booking twice, they had booked the table for 6.00pm (presumably for 7 people!). They couldn't understand why I was a little upset by this. In the end we were squeezed onto a table by the door. The service was by far the unfriendliest I have ever experienced in Edinburgh and the food was average at best. Thanks, Mya, for making my brother's 60th Birthday such a memorable experience, but for all the wrong reasons.

I normally order Indian chicken madras as a take-away from this
restaurant. The food is slightly more expensive than neighbouring take-aways but the food is of excellent quality and value for money.
Lamb dishes are also excellent and would rate as above.
The staff are friendly and helpful... just a shame they don't deliver.

I had my wedding party here on a Saturday night for around 30 people at 8.00pm. The table was set beautifully, the staff were friendly and attentive, and most inportantly the food was fantastic. We all had 3 courses and a variety of Indian and Thai and it was really nice. I'm not sure which is better - the Indian or the Thai. It doesn't look like your average curry house as it is modern and is quite classy too.
Would definitely recommend to friends family etc.

We had a Thai curry take away from Mya. We paid £28 for two meals. It was terrible, really terrible. They might be good for Indian curry, but jeez bad bad Thai!

We have been dining at Mya restaurant over the years. The food is fantastic it's fresh and full of flavour and friendly service! The prices are very fair as the food is cooked fresh and the portions are generous.
