Namaste presents an interesting range of dishes, with a far greater number of fish dishes than I was accustomed to seeing in a curry house. In addition to offering the standard Indian dishes they also do a number of Nepalese dishes.
I opted for a Nepalese lamb dish - it was delicious and the lamb was beautifully tender. Everyone else in my group was also impressed with the food. The restaurant was quite noisy, but this suited the fact that I was dining with a large group from work. However, I would probably have found it a bit more trying had I been in a group of 4 or less. I would happily return to Namaste, although as it is not BYOB I would possibly choose to go somewhere else first.
I booked the restaurant through the "toptable" function on this site and I'm pleased to say that the system worked really well.

I'm going to do a brief review this time - you'll see why shortly. So I'll need to go back and see it a second time to be certain it deserves a higher mark.
I brought 23 chaps (on a quiet stag do) to this place on Saturday. We were well behaved but possibly a little louder than most groups. We arrived on time at 8pm. Only one awkward chap had a starter. The rest of us enjoyed Cobra beers and waited patiently (45 minutes) for our mains. When they did arrive they were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their grub, the naan was served in a manner suitable for hungry men in a rush to get back to the pub. The bill for all the food came to £22 / head which wasn't bad considering we'd had loads of naan each, rice, a main (most cost around a tenner) and 2 beers.
The setting was fine, the service was quick and helpful (when we wanted beer). I'll definitely go again and would recommend it for large groups.

We went here after we had to leave The Outsider without getting any food due to a gas - and electricity breakdown. The decor is not the cosiest - as with most Indian restaurants, which accounts for 1/2 star off. The service was friendly and quick enough (I did notice however that the big group at the table next to us was complaining about not getting the things they ordered). We eat curries fairly often and this one really stood out. The food was absolutely delicious, I've never tasted such fantastic naan-bread ever and the butter chicken was a delight. We will definitely go again.
