Lacking in atmosphere - Oddfellows is 'odd'!

The food was really bad as well, my burger was soaked through with the salad dressing that had been very liberally poured over my salad and chips. Not especially cheap either for pub grub. Wouldn't bother with it to be honest.

Very reasonably priced. Nothing special, but for an after work drink and snack, it is perfectly adequate. Don't go out of your way, but likewise, don't avoid it.

Popped in here for lunch on a Monday. Very little business going on, so much so I had to ask if they were open and 'doing' lunch! Friendly staff assured me all was well and that they'd feed me. From the menu I selected a burger found myself a seat. It's really very cafeteria-like or at least I thought so. I've been out here on a Saturday night and it was better as a pub than an eaterie I felt.

Anyway, as I almost the only one dining my chips were excellent and freshly made, the burger was large without been stupid-big and pretty tasty but I've had (and made) better. £10 for the grub and a pint of orange and lemonade. Decent value, prompt enough but rubbish setting, probably would go again if starving.

For a quick bite it's not bad and there is good sports coverage and pool tables there.

Food good enough for the price.

Atmosphere is average, but gets spoilt by having large crowds of footballers in it disrupting the meal.

The standard of service I had in the place was hit and miss. They mucked up the order a couple of times, but in the end gave us some compensation.

---------------------

Was back here during the 6 Nations Rugby this year. Things were pretty good, but had to send the food back as it was slightly overcooked - the cheese on nachos *should* be melted, shouldn't it?????

The sevice was better and the bar staff were very friendly.
