This restaurant is also 5 minutes' walk from where I live, so having read profetta77's review about their delivery service, I went to collect the food myself.

I phoned to order and left my flat pretty much immediately to collect it and it was ready when I got there. Ding!

I had shredded chicken in chilli sauce and boiled rice. Only £4.60 and loads of food. It was fine. Not much sauce - it was a bit hard work finishing it as there was so much and it was a bit dry. Pretty tasty though.

As it's cheap and convenient for me, I might well use them again, but will try a dish with more sauce.

Took 1 one hour to get delivered what we did not order. And the restaurant is 5mn walk from where I live.

Food was cold too.

Awful.

Peking Inn, 3 Tarvit St, EH3 9LB, Edinburgh

The only amusing thing about The Peking Inn is its unintentionally voyeuristic name. The food is in large portion and low price, so those in search of sustenance will find what they are looking for. With regards the food, it was somewhat tasty but overly seasoned.

Often in Edinburgh, an average meal is improved by its surroundings (Montpeliers). The state of the décor in Peking Inn, however, was appalling. Probably the worst I have seen in Edinburgh. With the service unremarkable, there is little else to raise Peking Inn above its mediocre 2.5 stars. Probably a good enough night out with the girls, but avoid for first dates or special occasions.
