Persevere, 398 Easter Rd, EH6 8HT, Edinburgh
I have been to this pub a couple of times now and on both occasions the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. It is excellent value for food and drinks – I was pleasantly surprised to receive change from a fiver when I bought 2 pints, there cannot be many places in Edinburgh where this is the case.
The menu contains standard pub favourites such as haddock and chips, burgers and steak. I opted for the scampi which, as it should be, was crispy and hotter than the sun. Very tasty.
The Persevere is well worth a visit to experience the lively atmosphere of what one might call a traditional pub.
