I've eaten here for lunch several times and they do a very good two courses for a tenner option. The staff are friendly (a little casual but in a fun way) the food is tasty - I've had pasta, burgers, cannelloni and sausage and mash and I've enjoyed it all.
A pal of mine had a burger once and wasn't keen but I'm not sure if that was their fault!!!
Overall a nice atmosphere, a decent price and good fare. I'll go again and have no problem bringing people there.
I've not been there at night time so I can't comment but I'm told they will take large bookings.

A great little place. I had steak and it was most tasty. The decor is modern and the ambiance is, whilst not overly cosy, convivial to a lovely meal, be it for two or 10! I would strongly recommend this place for a good evening out.

Went to Ricks last night with a group of friend again, making the most of the 2 4 1 voucher that unfortunately has now expired.
We had a few cocktails before eating - my Bloody Mary was gorgeous and all the cocktails were beautifully presented.
We didn't have starters but got straight into the mains, I opted for spaghetti carbonara with pancetta and wild mushrooms - it was yummy and very filling. The portion was far too big for me though and I only got half way through - bit of a waste! 3 of my fellow diners opted for the sea bass which looked and smelt delicious, and another went for the duck which again looked great. All portions were pretty big!
We ordered the South African Chenin Blanc and it was a really nice wine, I think it was £14.95 a bottle.
We shared puddings; the special was a chocolate brownie with ice cream which was to die for!
Service was good too but it wasn't a cheap meal - for 6 of us taking into account the 2 4 1 main courses the bill came to £132...
I will go back, seriously like the sound of the Sunday brunch so if anyone has been to that, would love to hear what its like!
-------------------------------------------------
I went to the Sunday brunch last weekend and I was soooooooooo disappointed. I was there with a large group - about 10 of us. The restaurant had a few people there but was by no means busy. However they had one ridiculously hungover waitress working and a manager doddering about NOT working from what I could see...
Service was poor. One of my vegetarian dining companions ordered 1 of the 2 vegetarian dishes on the menu - Portobello mushrooms with melted cheese - sounded yummy - only to be informed 'sorry there are no Portobello mushrooms left, the manager just ate the last one for his lunch' Nice.
I had a burnt burger and chips - I had to ask for sauces - these came 20 minutes later once my chips were finished...
We all wanted puddings but had to ask twice for pudding menus. In the end we decided to cut our losses and head to Tigerlily for a chocolate fondue.
A disappointing experience which I'm afraid alters my perception of Ricks as a restaurant. No longer 3.5 - brought down to 2.5

Lunchtime deal is a steal with 2 courses for a tenner and the cocktails (especially the mojitos) are gorgeous - if a bit pricey.
Trendy and laid back with good service and always a bit of a buzz.
