I've been to Shamoli three times in the last two months and will be back again soon. What a grand idea, thai and Indian food within the one restaurant, great for a group who cannot chose which they prefer or to mix your courses.

I went with a group of 5, we shared indian veg pakora and thai spring rolls for starters. Plentiful starters and very tasty. For my main course I had thai chicken with veg, garlic, oyster sauce. Just the right hint of chilli in it and not too oily or salty like Thais I have had before. One pal had thai with chicken and cashew nuts which she loved and the others had a mix of karahi, tikka masala and hot hot curry. All loved their mains.

The staff here are very friendly, but not too in your face. They do not rush you at all, we were there on a Friday night, went in at half seven and left about eleven. Busy place and a great location right on the Royal Mile.

I love Shamoli and will be heading back again soon.
