Sonar Gao Takeaway, 191 Great Junction Street, EH6 5LQ, Edinburgh

I live halfway Leith Walk and as a great fan of Indian food, I'm always looking for a good take-away place. My usual choise is HAQ's (used to be known as Rice n Spice) and there's nothing wrong with HAQ's, but I just wanted to try out something different. So, Sonar Gao Takeaway it was. Reasonable prices and a good home delivery. I was told it would take at least 40 minutes to deliver, but after 35 minutes the delivery man was there. I had North Indian garlic chicken whihc was very tasteful. Not too hot, just good enough. My partner being vegetarian always enjoys Indian food, and she ordered something new to her which was a vegetable curry with banana which went down really well! Only weird thing was that we got pickles and dips with our order (we never asked for those), but no poppadoms! So that was a bit of a waste. I would order there again next time.
