This place never disappoints for takeaway (and I don't even like Chinese food all that much when I eat out) but I'm not so much a fan of dining in there. The restaurant is underground so lacks any natural light and the decor/furniture is very basic and lacking in... anything really. Deliveries are always prompt, always hot (in the heat sense!) and always too much! Szechuan chicken good as is chilli chicken (although is a little sickly sweet so don't get a starter!).

Have eaten here in their restaurant and it was excellent. Had take away twice, slightly more expensive than other takeaways in this area. The first time it stood up to its high standards but the second time was less than fair quality but it hasn't put me off getting one again.

I agree with Naomi. The subterranean dining area kind of puts you off eating in at this otherwise excellent restaurant. Food is great but I'd recommend takeaway/home delivery rather than making a night out of it.

As a regular customer since the Taste Good first opened its doors I would highly reccomend it to anyone wishing to sample Chinese food at its best.
The underground dining area can be a bit off putting at first but once your food arrives you will forget all about this.
Dishes worth trying include Aromatic Crispy Duck with Pancakes (Pricey at £12.20 but more than worth it) Shredded Beef with Chilli (Spicy but not too hot that you can't taste anything else) and Chicken with Yellow Bean sauce.

I think it's a great chinese - renowned in the area and always hoaching. Saying that the service is speedy and the food excellent. I'd say it was the best in south west Edinburgh.

I usually love takeaway from this place but they just mucked up my order and I'm peeved. tut tut. But usually a great place to eat. Get the prawn toast... it's like nothing you've had before. if you want a vegetable noodle dish you may need to scream VEG! down the phone... don't let this discourage! :)
