I have had take away twice from this restaurant and it was slightly uninspiring both times (Chicken Jalfrezi & Lamb Bhuna). I think this place caters more for the Rose Street drinkers as it generally seems busy with groups of lads out for a good drink.

However, it is very reasonably priced (£10-£12 for naan, rice and curry) and in a good central location, and like all good Indian restaurants it is underground!

Excellent food and service.

I recommend the tandori king prawns - mwah! My boyfriend had the garlic chili chicken and that was good too.

Our meal was reasonable value for money but treat the early evening two for one offer with caution. It says "conditions apply". You have to go downstairs to find out what the conditions are, by which time it's difficult to make a getaway. The conditions are that you have to buy two very uninspiring starters for £3.00 each + rice and naan, so end up paying nearly as much as you would have done for two main courses. You are constantly hassled about whether you want poppadoms or more drinks. There are much better deals around in Edinburgh for early evening eating.
