Really great friendly little cafe.
Fab, attentive staff and a fab menu for a hangover breakfast. I STRONGLY recommend the belgian waffles with bacon and maple syrup... I am drooling at the thought.

I often go here for lunch - and I have yet to be disappointed in the food. Service is often slow, so it's a bad place to go if you are in a rush.

I have been going to Toast occasionally for lunch, which I have always enjoyed. My friends were down from Inverness so we decided to try it for dinner. Excellent. The place had a nice buzz to it, we all had 3 courses and a bottle of wine and between 4 of us the meal came to £100. All the food was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and not too fussy - just good ingredients cooked well. The waitress was busy but attentive and Toast has a nice feel to it with the pictures and artwork up on the wall. I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes food, wine and a relaxed atmosphere.

A friendly little neighbourhood cafe that really makes you appreciate living in a nice part of town like Marchmont! A good place for breakfast, or even a civilised glass of wine in the evening.
