Had one of the best indian meals I have had in Edinburgh here. Very tasty food, good portions and nice ambience. Just a shame that it is quite far from the city centre.

Yet another business I was sure I had reviewed but clearly haven't. Here I go again then!
3 of us went here a week or so ago and had a reasonable meal. The tables in the back where we were seated were cramped and a little bit exposed to kitchen and toilet traffic. I don't want to be a huge moan but it was a bit cafeteria-like for me to feel like it was a treat to be there (take from that what you will).
We had some tasty starters, big menu - plenty to choose from. We picked 3 mains a couple of tasty naans and a couple of portions of rice and we had plenty for all of us. Service wasn't bad - I'm not overly picky as my other reviews will testify but I certainly wouldn't say there was anything stand out about this joint. Slightly spoiled by a couple of hairs popping up in two of our mains (at the end of the meal unfortunately).
If I'm honest I'd go to Wild Elephant or Fenwicks in that area before I'd go back to Voujon. It's decent but nothing special. (I'd really been looking forward to going too so I wanted it to be good) and it was fine but I say again - nothing special.
I will say it was decent value though. Definitely not too expensive.

Wonderful food and such friendly staff. They cater equally well whether you are in a large group or small romantic couple. This is up there with Khushis and it is a bit more out of the way. Yummy...

Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh! Every dish is tasty, the portions generous and the starters well presented The staff are attentative and helpful, although there do seem to be too many waiters for the size of the restaurant.
Apart from that, if you like a good curry then I would recommend this place to everyone... the King Prawn Dansak is the best I have ever tried... Just go!!

While the location of Voujon is slightly off the beaten track, I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for quality Indian cuisine.
The waiters were immensely patient with our large party. Service was excellent, and this was matched by the high quality food and wide range of dishes available. Very good value for money too.
