Tasty burgers and good value but nothing spectacular.

Always seems like a good idea after you get kicked out the pub. The staff are friendly and the kebabs are fine. They have some tables so you can sit in and eat your food.

Full of the "after work crowd" from 5pm onwards (particularly on a Friday), so good if you like hanging out with suits. It has the atmosphere you would expect from a bar located essentially within an office block. A reasonable place for lunch, though a tad on the expensive side. Diligent, friendly staff.

Oloroso
33 Castle Street, EH2 3DN, Edinburgh
from mdavidson (91%) on June 25th, 2007 (1 year ago)
Spectacular location with views of the Castle to the south and Fife to the north. However, lacks character and feels a little sterile. Food is good but comes at a price. Also, our quiet dinner was slightly disrupted by noise coming from a group in the bar area.

Bangalore Tandoori Restaurant
52 Home Street, EH3 9NA, Edinburgh
from mdavidson (91%) on June 25th, 2007 (1 year ago)
Offers all the usual dishes one would expect from an Indian restaurant to reasonable quality and value. One word of warning, I found the dish that I ordered (Chicken Jalfrezi) was hotter than I have found at other restaurants and the general consensus from my group was that the dishes were spicier than expected.

Cheap and cheerful! Remember - you get what you pay for!
