The Prince of India
88 Haymarket Terrace, EH12 5LQ, Edinburgh
from Shamon (10%) on December 2nd, 2008 (2 days ago)
I went to this Indian Restaurant and found it very nice, the inside is beautiful and modern and the food was Halal and very tasty. It was the normal going price for a meal in city centre but not overly priced. I am going again soon. Highly recommended.

Been a fan of this takeaway for a few years now, Staff are friendly and food is worth stopping in for. Pastas are fantastic, with Romana being my fave and Pizzas have a wide variety of toppings to choose from however the Animazing truly is amazing!!!

The Affair
104 Hanover Street, EH2 1DR, Edinburgh
from LESLEYCARTER (8%) on November 25th, 2008 (1 week ago)
My Husband and I visited the Affair to celebrate my Birthday on a long weekend visit to Edinburgh on the 21st of November 2008. It was possibly the best meal I've ever had, anywhere. Albeit a quiet night (there was snow forecast ) the service was great the waiters friendly and helpful. The restaurant is beautifully presented and the bar upstairs lively and also beautifully designed.
I had the Salmon with linguine which was in a delicious bisque of prawns and langoustines. My husband had slow roast belly pork with savoy cabbage. We both had desserts which were equally delicious. I thought the pricing was very reasonable and would wholeheartedly recommend The Affair to anyone.

Mya Restaurant
92 Commercial Street, EH6 6LX, Edinburgh
from sarah1 (8%) on November 18th, 2008 (2 weeks ago)
I had my wedding party here on a Saturday night for around 30 people at 8.00pm. The table was set beautifully, the staff were friendly and attentive, and most inportantly the food was fantastic. We all had 3 courses and a variety of Indian and Thai and it was really nice. I'm not sure which is better - the Indian or the Thai. It doesn't look like your average curry house as it is modern and is quite classy too.
Would definitely recommend to friends family etc.

Terrace Brasserie
The Royal Terrace Hotel, EH7 5AQ, Edinburgh
from peld (29%) on November 17th, 2008 (2 weeks ago)
The food at the Terrace Brasserie was quite simply outstanding. It is without doubt the best value meal I've ever had and up there with the best I've ever had.
I seriously don't know how they can serve the pre-theatre menu for £15 (3 courses, not as the offer says above, check out the places website or 5pm). They can only have made any money on our drinks!
We had a pea & leek tart with goats cheese and haddock fishcakes for starter, both had slow roast beef with mash for main, and pear tart & praline/macademia nut cheesecake for dessert. We scoffed the lot (and there was a lot), and it was all beautiful. Just cant recommend it enough, even if it is out the way a little, and the atmos was quite quiet.
We will be going back as soon as the menu changes!

Delicious Italian

Amazing amazing amazing food. Only downside is that they are just a takeaway - they'd have a full house every night if it was a restaurant.

Leven's
30-32 Leven Street , EH3 9LJ, Edinburgh
from longvodka (17%) on November 2nd, 2008 (1 month ago)
I stumbled across this place totally by mistake and freakin' loved it. For a change we went into a new place to eat and tried out new foods instead of going with the usual boring and safe food and it totally payed off. Defo planning to book a table and get back there, staff couldn't be more helpful and nice, food is delish... sure their cocktails would've been nice as well but didn't have any... Douglas you must be mad if you didn't like this place!!!
