The food in this place is superb, you must go and try the stews. Also some of the deserts are to die for...

5 from Anna (17%) on December 23rd, 2007 (11 months ago)

Bar Diesel is wonderful! Great service, amazing food and such good prices! The food was of a very high standard and the portion sizes were very generous! Located just off the shore, it is easy to get to and is well worth a try! We will be back again soon.

Loch Fyne Restaurant

25 Pier Place, EH6 4LP, Edinburgh

5 from jimobe (10%) on December 6th, 2007 (11 months ago)

I left Edinburgh to work overseas as a diplomat in 1966. I returned with my wife, to retire to Leith, in March 2007. Shortly thereafter we discovered the Loch Fyne Restaurant in Granton. It is a revelation. The staff are delightful, helpful and attentive. The food is excellent and the atmosphere magical. The Arctic chard if it is on the menu is a must. It is one of the finest fish dishes I have ever tasted, cooked to perfection. The vegetables served with this fish dish are crunchy and fresh. The cost of the meal with a glass of wine was amazingly good value. Highly recommended and we will go back. But you must book. It is very popular, and rightly so.

Centraal

32a West Nicolson Street, EH8 9DD, Edinburgh

5 from Amy (17%) on December 5th, 2007 (1 year ago)

This was my favorite resturant in Britain by far. They food was always amazing, the pear cider awesome, and the couches were wonderful.

I was studying in Scotland from America and my classmates and I would try to come as often as we could while we were there.

Le Mouton Noir

3 Viewforth, EH10 4JD, Edinburgh

5 from Lydie (17%) on November 23rd, 2007 (1 year ago)

Le Mouton noir is superbe! delicieux, fantastic, merveilleux!

I am French... I love my french food, but not just any!

David has brought to the area a wonderful little heaven of France, the food is very very tasty and his menu offers a great choice of French dishes that you do not find in otherwise more traditional French restaurants in Edinburgh.

Very nice indeed needless to say that we have been a few times already... paupiettes de veau, rack of lamb with minty mash... last time we discovered yet another dish and it was divine!!!

Last thing, the desserts... hummm very lovely, I must mention the Tarte aux pruneaux, my favorite!

I have sent a lot of my customers from the guest house to have dinner @ le Mouton noir, a little advice: book in advance as it is very busy, bon appetit!
