Had an after work feed here with some pals a few weeks ago and it didn't do much for us really. Pub grub, friendly staff, slightly pricey for what it is. Wouldn't fuss about going back and would probably try and go to the Cambridge Bar instead to be honest.

Quiet but excellent food. Had a red curry which I loved and the meal for 2 was excellent value. Will go again and would bring people with me happily. I don't think it ever gets busy mind you and minimal chat from the staff but thats ok as you're too busy eating.
I wouldn't imagine you'd need to book as I've never seen it full.

Again - I seem to have a habit of turning up to places that are either dead or chaotic - this was the former on a Friday night. Food was good and staff had good banter. Does a good trade with the older local residents piling in most of the week and its Sunday trade is more than steady. Slightly out of the way but a bit of a gem. Can't recall the food but remember it being good value. Like it.

Went here for Valentines day a couple of years ago and it was a real pack 'em in scenario. Food was ok but service was fairly non-existent to be honest. Possibly harsh to judge it on a crap night to go there but even still they sold their sole fast enough. Queue out the door mind you. I wouldn't go again based on my experience but neither would I urge you not to go.

I've been here several times and it's mostly been great. One person I've brought there was disappointed... almost universally otherwise it's been well received. Pizza is good there and the helpings are nice. Vibrant atmosphere and good service. Been there for an xmas party and it was carnage -- good fun but very popular so booking may be necessary on some weekends. Good family spot - I've been there with my sister and her kids.

Not much to say - it's not bad, slightly packed in seats but it's reasonable, tasty and it is what it is. I'd go again but I wouldn't make a big deal about it.

I love this place. This was a coffee shop way back in the day that was owned by a pal of JK rowling and she used to sit up in there writing the book and minding her nipper. Food's ok and it's comfy. Good for a pre-cinema nosh.
The starters are always good and if you go after 6 pm you can get the crispy duck pancakes. The mains are as you would expect (actually I kind of fancy one now) and as usual you can help yourself as much as you like. Desserts can be a bit ropey but the icecream is tasty and plentiful. Tends to get a bit of studenty crowd and is not as busy as Jimmy Chungs.

Been here ages ago - was pretty dead outside the core office-drinking hours. Wasn't blown away by it but don't remember it being awful either. Would go again if it was busy and had a buzz.

Went here for a big anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it. Hit the wallet pretty hard but difficult to complain when the food is such high quality... Great staff with good knowledge on the wines (not necessarily experts but they had plenty to say and had suggestions and were patient when we had a long discussion about what wine to choose).
Quite down to earth as well and not in the slightest bit pretentious but it was a little quiet when we were in there.
If money isn't an object then I highly recommend it. I'll go again (but only on special occasions).
I had scallops on rissotto to start which was yum, followed by a veal main which was filling and very tasty and then I had the cheese board for my final course and that was well tasty - no shortage of crackers either or indeed any raised eyebrows when I asked for extra helpings of them (twice).
Herself had duck to start and sea bass followed by a chocolate cake dessert. She was very pleased also. Will definitely go again and will always recommend it for those with big wallets or special occaisions.

As Mdavidson says it's good fare (they only do burgers). I'm surprised he knows the numbers of items on the menu mind you. Usually busy and they're very accommodating and well located. Food stops at half 9 though so late diners beware.
I've had several of the burgers here and they're always very tasty. Service is Quick and the chips are fine as well. always filling for what you pay as well.
