Wannaburger

Slightly cheap on the fixtures but excellent burgers, quick service and not outrageous on the wallet. Went there for a big birthday meal and it was fine before the pub while it's always reliable for a spot of tasty lunch. I'll go again.

Generous portions for the money, 6 quid should be enough to fill you up. Food was excellent and didn't have to wait too long. Will definitely be using them again. Not sure if they deliver or not but I live a minute away so I don't need it.

Abstract

This relatively new restuarant is a lovely addition to the Edinburgh restuarant scene. Fairly pricey in the evenings, but £12.95 for 2 courses at lunch is exceptional value. I had the Scottish Salmon Gravadlax to start, followed by the exquisite Roasted Guinea Fowl Breast with Foie Gras.
The service was perfectly competent and attentive. The ambience is lovely. It is only my stingyness that prevented me from giving it an unprecedented 5 stars.

I also had one of the best meals ever and I'm not vegetarian but Mexican does it every time along with fruit smoothies. Would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Igg's

We went there using an eat out for a £10 voucher out of The Scotsman and the choice was really limited - a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts and if you don't like fish it gives you a choice of 1 but we should have expected that for a tenner. The choice from the normal menu looked more extensive so this wouldn't put me off.

Good for a pub meal. More choice than your average microwaved steak and chips. There are mexican nights and 2 for 1 on various cocktails, beers, wines etc during the week. Excellent for breakfasts and brunch.

Taste Good

Have eaten here in their restaurant and it was excellent. Had take away twice, slightly more expensive than other takeaways in this area. The first time it stood up to its high standards but the second time was less than fair quality but it hasn't put me off getting one again.

Group of 10 of us went there July 07. They were extremely patient with us considering one of our group was over an hour late but kept us stocked with popadoms and Cobra beers. Mains better than average and we even had desserts.

A friendly little neighbourhood cafe that really makes you appreciate living in a nice part of town like Marchmont! A good place for breakfast, or even a civilised glass of wine in the evening.
