St John's Curry Club

100 St John's Road, EH12 8AT, Edinburgh

4 from RossDouglas (25%) on May 3rd, 2008 (1 week ago)

The St Johns Curry Club is a haven of calm on an otherwise busy street. A reasonably priced menu and superbly made food makes the St Johns Curry Club well worth a visit.

the food is nice enough but really overpriced and the place has no atmosphere.

My favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Unpretentious French restaurant with friendly french waiters and delicious food. The pre-theatre menu is a great deal!

Caffe Sardi

18-20 Forrest Road, EH1 2QN, Edinburgh

4 from Marius (15%) on May 3rd, 2008 (1 week ago)

This is my favourite place to go for lunch with my friends. They have a great lunch deal and the service is very friendly and efficient. I am surprised by the comments about the owner, she has always been very friendly when I have been there. This is an unpretentious restaurant which serves unexpensive tasty Italian food. I highly recommend it.

Loch Fyne Restaurant

25 Pier Place, EH6 4LP, Edinburgh

Yes Yes Yes oh fantastic, Loch Fyne restaurant in Edinburgh, if it's as good as the origional we're in for a treat!!!

I went, I tried to get a table but couldn't. (Ah I hear you all saying "he should have booked!"). The place was practically empty, I asked the nice Maitre D for a "table for two please".

"Sorry sir it's only bookings". I looked around expecting to see a large queue forming behind me... nothing!

"You can have this leaflet which tells you all about the restaurant, and then next time phone us to reserve your table".

What next time! Maybe in a couple of years... I'll just drive to the original thanks.

Tusitala

47 Buckstone Terrace, EH10 6QJ, Edinburgh

4 from Carolyn (13%) on May 2nd, 2008 (2 weeks ago)

Wow!!! went here for lunch for the 1st time. I had the Moroccan chicken skewers, served with rice and salad, Fab! Husband had the fire and smoke wood-fired pizza, he wasn't saying much as he was too busy munching. Great value for money, nice and friendly staff. So with the two meals plus a portion of chips, (DH says he can't have pizza without them) pint of lager and 2 irn bru. All for £23... What else could we ask for... Will be going back for dinner in the near future...
