Braw Burgers & Pizza, 113 Broughton Road, EH7 4EQ, Edinburgh

We visited Braw Burger on a Saturday afternoon for a burger deal.

First of all the welcome from the two gentlemen working there was brilliant. Friendly, knowledgeable and proud of their food, it is something other places can learn from. It is a true saying that it is nice to be nice.

We ordered a “Dangerous Burger”, with Stornoway black pudding, chorizo, cider onions and homemade mustard, and a “BBQ Flaming Hot” burger with jalapenos, mull of kintyre cheddar, crispy onions and bbq sauce. There was no problem in changing the bbq sauce for harissa mayonnaise. In fact I was able to taste some of their other homemade sauces to see which one I would prefer. Like I said, fabulous service.

We also got two portions of chips and their “Braw Slaw”.

When we got them home, everything was still hot. The cold items were packed in a separate bag to the warm ones which no doubt helped.

As for the taste, well the chips were crispy, with a soft potato inside, and delicious. One bag was seasoned with piri piri and the other with a Cajun seasoning. Both full of flavour. The burgers were tasty, soft and full of flavour, with the toppings matching the burger in being very tasty. Probably the best burger and chips that we have had in years.

Can’t recommend highly enough. We will be back.
