I visited here a couple of weeks ago in a group of 10, I think, for someone's birthday. We had a good meal. Pretty cheap and very cheerful.

Pretty standard Italian pizza and pasta affair, but here's my brief advice on what to order: steer clear of the various bruschetta options to start. They're fine but the other starters are much better (deep fried mushrooms was excellent). Pasta dishes were better for main course than the pizzas. And be sure to leave space for dessert. All the classics are there - the knickerbockerglory and the banana split were the big winners at our table.

Good place to go as a group for a birthday or similar, and people seem to know that - while we were there the lights got dimmed at least 4 times while they piped "happy birthday" through the sound system and the waiters set about embarassing their next birthday victim with chants of "speech! speech!" etc.

Unlike some other reveiwers I thououghly enjoyed the food. The surroundings are pleasant and the location allows for easy access.

The kind of place where you and family or friends can go to enjoy the hospitality and joy that is Italian cooking.

Been twice, went the second time just in case the first time was a bad choice of food, awful on both occassions. Terrible cooking, poor food, re-heated rubbish. The only thing this place is good for is some good old Italian banter and service. Would recommend steering well clear, there are far better Italian restaurants to visit.

I visited, with a friend, for the first time on Saturday 22nd August 2009.

Not once during the meal did the waiter ask if things were OK or could he do anything else for us.

I ordered a Knickerbocker Glory for dessert only to discover that it contained no ice-cream.

I was told by the waiter that he had seen ice-cream being put in my dessert.

Another Knickerbocker duly arrived and again there was no ice-cream. My waiter stated again that he had seen the ice-cream being put in the Knickerbocker.

Another Knickerbocker (the third) arrived and it contained ice-cream.

No reduction was made on our bill of £73.80 and consequently no gratuity was given.

Not bad for a quick pizza or pasta.
