Hudson's is a hotel, bar, restaurant AND a club.

The bar charges expensive George Street prices but fails to reach the same standard as competition such as Tigerlily and the Living Room.

It attracts a mixed crowd on a weekend - some suits but also the hairdresser and stag party crowd too... Not so great.

Food is mediocre and pretty basic (I wouldn't visit here for the food alone). The dessert menu is poor. Despite the food being basic it is tasty (if a little over-priced). The staff, on the other hand, are extremely friendly and very attentive.

The club is dingy and usually quiet - not worth a visit really. However, I would consider hiring the club out for a private function or party because they offer great deals and it is the perfect size - ideal for a birthday party or work event.

I think there are about 30 hotel rooms in total - they are very modern and all vary in size costing approximately £100 per room per night. Receptionists are always happy to help with any problems you may have.

Overall: decor and staff are great. However, it is quite expensive and food is pretty basic. I think Hudson's would do a lot better if it tried to be more unique and stopped trying to compete with the likes of Tigerlily.

I took my girlfriend here for lunch the other day and was extremely disappointed by the service we received.

We arrived at 12.45 and ordered by 12.55. We left at 13.30 without being served food. We were ignored by the staff and weren't given an explanation as to why we were waiting. As we got up to leave the staff (who should have been conspicuous as the place wasn't busy) disappeared into the kitchen! Presumably they didn't want to hear how annoyed we were for having our time wasted and were embarrassed at the service they had offered.
