Great selection of burgers (loads of other food too) in this trendy new bar on Chambers Street (used to be Beluga). I had the Big Chilli Burger which was £7.45 and very tasty. I was really hungry so agreed to "double it up" for an extra pound. They forgot to but didn't charge me and there was loads of food as it was.

After you order they put an egg timer on your table - if the sands run out before your food arrives you eat for free. A novel idea which pretty much guarantees you won't be waiting forever for your food.

Revolution is a case for when you have low expectations for a place and it proves you wrong that you ultimately end up with a pretty decent review.

This pub has so many offers that it will take you longer to try and work them out then to concentrate on the menu, but no worries, if you dont have a loyalty card (thats right a pub that has a loyalty card) you are not eligible for these deals. That said, there is actually a decent chance i am wrong about this as I gave up on trying to decipher the deals after my stomach told me to concentrate on the food.

I ordered the chicken, goats cheese and bacon salad and my partner had the frutta di mare pizza. I was pleasantly surprised with my salad. The chicken breast was nicely cooked, none of that pseudo chicken like stuff that you all too often see on the likes of chicken ceasars throughout the city. The chicken was topped with delicious bacon and the goats cheese which was gooey from being seared. It was topped with some reduced balsamic and served on a bed of dressed spinach and rocket with beetroot and hard cooked eggs. My partner's pizza was ok, the crust beat out the toppings in taste and was clearly cooked in a proper oven. I would go for one of the other pizzas next time.

Another plus for Revolution is the service. Finally a decent priced place with decent service! Our waiter was attentive and friendly as was the staff behind the bar. It was a Thursday night so this probably had something to do with it, but still worth noting. And, with the bill came one loyalty card and two drinks vouchers. They might not make me loyal to Revolution but they definitely upped the chances that I will be returning.

Have been here a couple of times on various work lunches and the food has always been quite reasonable. For a chain, you might think this is a touch expensive but you get a better quality that you would in other chain pubs. I was quite tickled to see a posh fish finger sandwich on the menu so had to order it. Everyone else seemed interested in what it might be like. It was actually very delicious. The fish fingers were of a better quality that those you'd get out of a packet and were placed in nice ciabatta with salad and sauce. It doesn't come with chips (although a side order can be requested) but I found that this was filling enough. I have also had a burger there which was of a good quality again. It wasn't greasy and came with a nice side salad and chips.

The service can be what lets this place down. They do offer a 15 minute guarantee of getting your food after you order, but the small print says this is for groups of under 6 people. Needless to say there were 9 of us and we waited about 40 minutes, with mine coming a good 10 minutes after everyone else's. To be fair though, they did knock a few meals off the bill by way of an apology. The other time we went it was about 20/25 minutes so not too bad, unless you are in a bit of a rush.

The place itself has a trendy feel, with browns, creams and blacks, which I quite like. Again, you can be a bit hit and miss with the chairs as some of us ended up on seats a bit like directors chairs, which didn't really make it the ideal seat for eating, but it's only a little quibble.

I'd give this place a go, providing you have more than an hour to spare.

Working just around the corner from Revolution I've been there a few times to take advantage of their great deals. The loyalty card scheme is fantastic and they also have a 'business of the week' thing where you can submit your business and, if chosen, you'll receive special offers on production of your staff card.

Both the pizzas and burgers come highly recommended - I can personally say that the duck and hoisin pizza is a delight. Prices are fantastic value and the egg timer stunt is cute. *lol*

The staff are always really friendly. I've been for cocktails after work more than once and have always had a fun night. Let's hope that the Revolution comes soon!

Brilliant Breakfast! Much better than Beluga!
